About me
I can teach mathematics at early primary, GCSE and A Level. Exam Board Experience: AQA, Edexcel, WJEC/Eduqas Languages: I am fluent in English I can teach all abilities through primary and secondary school, and am comfortable with preparing students for their SATs, GCSEs and A Levels. About me: I am currently studying for a bachelor's degree in mathematics at the University of York and am going into my second year. I am looking forward to furthering my studies in linear and abstract algebra, non-linear dynamical systems, classical mechanics and vector calculus, among other exciting modules! Outside of my studies, my passions involve playing tennis with my friends, playing the piano and singing in the university choir. I am currently working towards completing my grade 8 piano. I am also an officer cadet in the York unit of the Leeds Officers Training Corps - a non-deployable section of the British Army Reserve. I am also currently about to begin a course to gain a Certificate in Understanding Autism (Online) Level 2 with Lincoln College. For many years now, I have enjoyed providing support to my siblings and cousins in their maths homework, both in person and via Zoom so I am well-suited to the format of online tutoring. My passion for teaching began at a very young age, and it has been a career prospect I have been holding dear ever since. For me, tutoring mathematics is a golden opportunity to show students that maths isn't just a subject in school, but it is a lifelong tool with applications around every corner! I enjoy helping students develop confidence when doing maths and pride myself in being a flexible tutor, and adaptable to a style of teaching best suited to the individual. In essence, I aim to inspire students to not only improve their maths skills, but also light a spark within them to find their own passion for this incredible subject!
