About me
I am an undergraduate English Literature and Creative Writing Student at a top 25 UK university, currently in my third year of study. My consistent passion for Literature and Language translates well into my love for learning and teaching. My role as an English tutor allows my enjoyment for the subject to become clear, guaranteeing optimum engagement with students. Such engagement would allow for a confident, informed and positive learning experience for each student, one which would put them on the road to success. Along with this, my expanded knowledge for English Literature and English Language goes as far as A-Level standard and beyond, my confidence in both practices has been clear throughout all of my academic career. I hope to translate my skill into Teacher Training next academic year, enhancing my passion, furthering my ability to teach and most importantly, expanding on my desire to motivate students to be their best. It is absolute that I am keen to establish a unique, comfortable and understanding relationship with each student I teach, with my patient and caring nature and the student's desire to achieve, this relationship will be created in a short time. My 7 months Tutoring experience has been an excellent way for me to confirm not only my knowledge of English Literature and Language, but also my skills of communication. I am able to cater my tutoring methods to what each student needs, keeping in mind individual concerns and individual learning experiences. I have much experience with the AQA, Edexcel and WJEC exam boards as well as grammar school entrance exams and other types of entrance exams. My competence in each of these creates the possibility of a learning environment with much diversity as well as knowledge and drive. Also, I am fluent in Italian. Taking my Italian GCSE at 13 years old and achieving very high marks, allowed my mind to open up to languages at an early age, enforcing my competence in the entire linguistic spectrum. I am delighted and open to tutoring any student from Year 7 to A-Level, it is far more important to me for a student to come to our lessons with feelings of drive to succeed, their age and ability do not dictate my preferences. Here's a bit about me: my hobbies and interests range from music, fashion, writing, watching films/series to reading, going out with friends and Swimming. These all stem from a supportive home life, therefore, I believe that parents/guardians should feel welcome into the study space of their child. I am warm and friendly and hope to give feedback to any parents/guardians that wish to receive it, in the same manner the student will work closely with me, I hope to work closely with them and their families to assist them in achieving success.
